Fresh hemlock is typically a rusty red color.
Medium Fresh Hemlock is often referred to as the “sliverless" bark dust.

Pebble Bark Nuggets
These fir bark nuggets are 3/8" to 1" in size.
These fir bark nuggets are 3/8" to 1" in size.
Pebble Bark Nuggets are fir bark that is 1/2″ to 2″ in size. There is no dust in the nuggets and they are very long lasting.

Aged hemlock varies in shades of brown.
Once composted (aged), fresh hemlock goes from a rusty red color to brown.

turning it brown in color. Each season it varies in shade from light brown with a reddish tint to dark chocolate brown.Composted bark makes a great soil amendment.
